County Treasurer/Finance
The County Treasurer position is an elected office. This individual is elected every four years and performs the duties described in 30-A, M.R.S.A., Section 171.

The County Treasurer/Finance office is responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting for Aroostook County Government in accordance with Title 30-A, generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP), as well as the County Charter. Below is a general overview of responsibilities:
General Overview of Responsibilities:
- Management of accounts payable and all disbursements;
- Payroll administration and all tax filings;
- Deposit and management of all funds received;
- Management of County grants;
- Maintain fixed asset schedule and debt schedule;
- Yearly budget development and reporting for all funds;
- Collection of County taxes from Aroostook municipalities;
- Prepare/Provides financial reports to County Commissioners;
- Responsible for annual and single audits.
